Loveland Innovations Just Improved Drone Roof Inspections

Loveland Innovations, a developer of drone solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry, has announced the launch of Drone Assist Complete, an on-demand tool that enhances roof-claims adjustment.

In partnership with nationwide adjustment firm Fourseventy Claim Management, Loveland is piggybacking the service on its previously released UAV-based inspection service, Drone Assist.

The new service deploys advanced deep learning engine and integrates with Fourseventy’s claim management system.

“This is the next evolution of the claims process—a fast, extremely cost-effective and of course safe, full-service alternative to traditional claims adjusting,” Loveland CEO Jim Loveland said.

“In those claims where drones are an obvious fit—and we think this is the majority—Drone Assist Complete just makes more sense than traditional adjusting or outsourcing to ‘steep and high,’ third-party companies. Using state-of-the-art technology and a forward-thinking claims adjusting partner in Fourseventy Claim Management, costs are much lower and the turnaround time is significantly faster. And of course, no one is climbing on a roof.”

Insurers can use Drone Assist Complete to handle claims adjustments from beginning to close. Clients provide Loveland UAS pilots with claim data that allows the company to inspect the case using IMGING products. Loveland describes the solutions as the “IMGING platform for consistent, accurate roof inspections and the IMGING Detect deep learning engine for damage detection and more.”

“Leveraging the state-of-the-art IMGING platform, Drone Assist Complete will take several days off cycle times and provide a much higher quality product. We’re proud to partner with Loveland Innovations to make this possible,” Matt D. Fatheree, founder and CEO at Fourseventy Claims said.

In 2017, Loveland Innovations won a patent that advances the capturing of aerial imagery. The approach positions the drone in a way that limits potential image distortion and lays the groundwork for further image capture.

Previously, Loveland entered a partnership with DJI under which world’s largest drone retailer supplies the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro, Inspire 2.0 and the Matrice 200 family as part of the IMGING system.
